Projects

SUMMARY
In 2008, young people from 2 deprived villages in South Lebanon were trained on the use of audiovisual material to produce docu-drama films as a way to raise awareness of issues affecting their community and gather support for improving their condition.
BACKGROUND
In the wake of the Israeli war of 2006 against Lebanon and its violent repercussions, the lack of entertainment and leisure venues, as well as the absence of health care centers has become a concern for young people in the 2 neighboring villages of Bint Jbeil (Shiite majority) and Rmeish (Christian majority) in South Lebanon.
TARGET GROUPS
Young people aged between 16 and 25 years old
OBJECTIVE(S)
The purpose of Youth Eyes is to equip young people with the necessary artistic and technical skills to allow them to express themselves.
Youth Eyes aims to provide young participants from the concerned area with the necessary skills, knowledge and equipment to enable them to identify problems they suffer from in their community and illustrate them in docu-drama films.
